Tram line 2 - Sight
Tram line 2 in Amsterdam will take you to almost all the top sights that our Capital has, which is why National Geographic has named it one of the best trams rides in the world.
During the ride, you will see the Museum Square with the Stedelijk Museum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. Then you will continue in the direction of the Leidseplein with the entertainment of restaurants, cafés, theatres and movie theatres, and onwards to the Dam square Palace. The route from the Leidseplein to Dam goes through the centre of Amsterdam; through the narrow Leidsestraat, along the famous Flower Market on the Spui, and you'll pass many historic buildings on the way. And, last but not least, on your way you will cross all canals that make up the canal area. The ride ends at the Central Station.
The Amsterdam Tram line 2 was installed on December 28th, 1903, so it has been riding the streets of the city more than 100 years. The trams starts at the Central Station and passes by the Dam, the Leidsestraat, Willemsparkweg, Koninginneweg, Heemstedestraat and Johan Huizingalaan to the end of the line in Nieuw Sloten.
