JHM Children's Museum

JHM Children's Museum - 1 JHM Children's Museum (August 2014) - #2

Children aged 6 to 12 years can playfully get to know the Jewish life and Jewish traditions in the JHM museum. The children's museum is located in the Jewish Historical Museum and consists of three floors decorated like a house of a Jewish family. The Jewish family Hollander lives in the house. Father, mother and three children each experience in their own way what it means to be Jewish.

Max de Matze is the guide in the house. He is full of jokes, possesses great wisdom and makes the visit a truly joyful experience. In the living room for example, you get to know the Dutch family Hollander, play instruments in the music room and in the kitchen you will learn about kosher foods, and you can even bake a challah (braided bread) yourself. And there are even more rooms! Also pay a visit to our virtual children's museum with videos, games, and more!

Furthermore JHM Children's Museum is near the following sights: Jewish Historical Museum (±20 m), Portuguese Synagogue (±40 m), Hermitage Amsterdam (±175 m), Amsterdam Museum (±200 m) & Gassan Diamonds (±225 m).
